URBAN OUTFITTERS · TUKWILA, WASHINGTON

VISUAL LEAD | NEW STORE OPENING

From empty retail space to photo-worthy opening in 7 days? Challenge accepted. Overseeing UO's top merchandising and display teams, I drove the completion of inspiring and impactful visual installations in two new multiple-concept stores.

bold and balanced

A modern take on Y2K fashion with bold prints and silhouettes, styled within a cool palette for a soft balance. Warm pops of color were added through styling accents and table product that unite the presentation.

display for the win

The combination of product styling and display differentiate the shop concepts. A rug was layered under the styling platform to add texture and counterbalance the recycled wood materials.

symbiotic shopping

Houseware concepts were strategically placed adjacent to apparel shop categories that created a symbiotic shopping environment. The vinyl cluster was placed in front of the men’s graphics and by women’s graphics all with the common theme of music and lifestyle.

Through cohesive design, smart use of color, and strategic spatial choices, both stores successfully brought the brand ethos to life and exceeded opening weekend goals—one by over $14K.
